Yesterday I had the incredible opportunity to speak at the 10th-anniversary border:none conference, and it was truly something special. The atmosphere was charged with authenticity, vulnerability, and a shared passion for digital technology. It felt like speaking to the beating heart of the digital world - developers, coders, hackers, and entrepreneurs.
As speakers, we were asked to look back over the past decade and reflect on how our lives and careers have evolved. This exercise was a beautiful journey for me. It brought me face to face with the realisation that I've been living in alignment with my core values: trust, humility, curiosity, activism, diversity, and transparency.
During my talk, I was able to share numerous examples from my projects that embodied these values. It was a powerful moment to connect the dots and show how my intentional choices led me on a path toward my philosophy and framework called "Cyborg Shamanism."
But it didn't stop there. This reflection also clarified my stretch goals for at least the next decade. The themes are regeneration, trust, and transparency, common unity, systemic innovation, human thriving, and mental health, wellbeing, and social justice.
What struck me most was how this exercise highlighted not just my personal authenticity but also the integrity woven into my professional journey. It's a beautiful feeling to see the alignment between who I am and what I do.
Thank you, border:none, for this incredible platform to share, learn, and grow. I'm excited to see what the next decade holds for me.
